Busy bee

I've been busy as a bee creating cards for a sweet Etsy customer. Here are a few of them....I still have about 20 to go!

BTW- did you notice that some of these pictures appear brighter and clearer than other? Its because I've been trying to fight the 'Auto' function and i've been playing with my manual settings on my camera... well the duller photos are the manual ones.. lol. So i'll stick with my auto settings until I take a class or two!

Embellished cards

It all started with this Mother card. I made the Mother card for a challenge at Embellish Magazine.

I mean, how could you not be inspired by that color board?

After creating the Mother card, I had all these wonderful papers and embellies out... and then came the Baby cards.

baby 2
baby 3
So now I have this family of retro kitschy vintage-y cards.

Happy colors

This lovely color combo on this card comes from a brand spankin' new color challenge, Totally Hues
What a gorgeous presentation of the colors. Wow.

I love this color combination. The bright colors with the cream just make me happy.

Sunshine in my soul

I love the sentiment used on this card. Love it.
I'm not really sure what occasion this card would be appropriate for but alas....
I entered this card into a couple of challenges.
The colors are from the Color Throwdown color challenge.

The layout was inspired by the sketch at Wee Memories.
I just put the scallops on the bottom instead of the top.

I had fun experimenting with ribbon as you can tell :).

A little Glam a little Shabby Chic a lot of girlie-ness

I linked this card to a couple of challenges for this week.
Moxie Fab World's "Gray is the new black"  challenge was to use the color gray in an innovative way.
I don't ordinarily use gray a whole lot, but I really do like the look and i'm definitely going to do it again.

The other challenge was a Wee Memories challenge to use ribbon. Now thats a challenge I can handle. :)
I even used two different types of ribbon, the pink seam binding ribbon, and the black pompom trim ribbon.
