Light and Bright

Can I just say that I love this card? I do.
The challenge was to use white and or cream and only one additional color.

I used my Cricut Expression again to cut out the cream colored doily looking shape that the flower is sitting on. I love that blue flower, I only had 1 blue one in my jar. So sad, but i'm making progress in the hoarding department!

Hey There!

I made this card for a couple of challenges. The color inspiration was from ColourQ challenge #68
The sketch is from Mojo Monday's  sketch challenge
Mojo174Sketch.gif (328×451)
I love how bright and cheerful this card is. We've had nothing but gray skies and snow...yuk!

Pinkx3+purple=3c

Three more cards inspired by 1 Moxie Fab collor challenge.

On this card I tried a technique iv'e seen, for the first time. I love how it turned out. Altough don't let me fool you, that x-acto knife and I had to fight it out.

The challenge if you haven't guessed it yet was the Pretty Pastel color challenge.

I couldn't stop layering on this one. Can you tell? I got to use a bunch of goodies though, like WMS music background stamp, border punches, spellbinders die, lace, buttons...ect
I used ink and my heat tool to age the edges of the paper. If you try this be very careful not to keep the heat tool in one place too long... It might catch fire. But you know that don't you.
The cricut did all the work cutting out the card base for this one. I love that shape so much.
The punny valentine images are from a sheet of patterned paper I found at Hobby Lobby (or Michaels?) a while ago.

Pink, and adventures in style.

I've been on a roll lately, i'm telling you I'm loving the challenges out there. They really inspire me to create in ways I would probably not have thought of on my own. So here are two completely different cards inspired by the same color challenge.

This card was all made with 1 sheet of patterned paper. I just cut out elements I really liked and added them back on with dimensional adhesive.

The pallette for these cards was inspired by Moxie Fab World, this one is the Monochromatic challenge.
Thats right, pink x3. Sweet.

For this card I used a couple different papers from the Sweet Stack by DCWV (I used the smaller mat stack size)
I love the rick rack on the edge of the card.
I've really been experimenting with my style of creating latley. (I'm sure you've noticed!) I don't know that I have a "style" thats just me. I really like so many different techniques and trends...I do know that I like feminine. Girly and glittery :) And vintage/retro. Whether its bold like my "Love you forever" card or soft and shabby like these cards, I created it and its me.

Valentine

This romantic valentine was inspired by the color challenge at CR84FN.

I used my cricut to cut out that decorative heart, then I glittered it. Its hard to capture clear glitter, can you see it?

Birthday Banner card

I finally broke into my PTI "library ledger" patterned paper....I love love love that aqua polka dot paper. Love it.  I don't know why I dread cutting into paper I love, I mean thats what its for right?
This card was made for one of my favorite challenges, The Play Date Cafe.

Its hard to tell that theres any demention in the straight on picture...
I'm really loving that PTI banner set, its so much fun.

Bright Spot

This card was inspired by the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge.

Happy Sunday :)

Here's another flower garden-y card with that DCWV paper. This time the focal point of my card is a handmade embellishment made by yours truly ;). The fancy mangifying glass chipbboard like piece of course!

I cut the shape out with my cricut about 5 times and adhered them all together, to make it thick like chipboard. I really love the dimension it gives to the card. I then glittered the hek out of it. You know I like doing that.

Soft and shabby

I really had fun with the layering on this card.
The color scheme is from Mona's C84FN color challenge

I used some K&Company paper I found in my stash. See the green? There is green in there, I promise
That pretty little embellishment is from Pink Paislee, I inked and glittered it.

If you're wondering why post descriptions are getting shorter and shoter is because I've been having computer issues, and with these issues typing drives me craaaazzzy! no kidding. crazy.

Retro kitsch chic

I'm having a hard time coming up with new post titles...eh.

Anyhow, this funky patterned card was created with a couple of challenges in mind.
The sketch is a Mojo Monday sketch.
Mojo173Sketch.gif (423×365)
And honestly it was a challenge for me.. I'm not sure why.

The colors were inspired by the Curtain Call color challenge.

The papers are Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird line...yum!

Oooh la la. Je t'aime toujours!

Okay I don't know why this card makes me think of French, but it does.

I love how ruffly and fluffy the crepe paper medallion is. They are so fun to make.

The sketch was inspired by this Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge sketch.

I actually loved making this card, I got messy with glitter, used fun bold colors and got to
use some rhinestone gems that I've been hoarding. Moxie Fab challenges- I will be back.

Flower garden

After a year of sitting in my closet untouched, I finally cut into my DCWV Garden stack, I love those papers! They are super thick and some have glitter, or embossed parts... they're great.  I made these quick little cards with one of my favorite patterns from the stack. I'm still working on a couple more.
I also made a couple felt flowers using PTI dies, and wool felt. I love these, I'm want to make a whole flock of flowers...yum yum.
