Pink Lemonade

Its time for another challenge from the Shabby Tea Room
This week's theme is 'Pink Lemonade' and the challenge is to use pink, green, neutrals, and flowers.

I made the lace ruffled flower and layered a dyed shabby flower and a resin flower over it. I used two green ribbon, and a couple millinery leaves as well. The sentiments is from Papertrey Ink...as always.

This week's sponsor is Tiffany Doodles and they are giving out some generous prizes- so be sure to play along!

Debbie Marcinkiewicz -  Simple Treasures

Charlene Cundy - Expressions of Me!

Melissa Bove - Creating From the Heart

Pattie Goldman - The Pampered Paper Patch

Sheri Holt - My Sheri Cards

BTW- Thanks for the computer well wishes ;o)
The recovery disc didn't work so now I have to send the computer in the the manufacturer. I'm having some serious withdrawals, its been awful!
So it will probably be pretty quiet around here for the next couple of weeks until I get my computer back.

I'm also entering this card in the CR84FN  color challenge!

Gorgeous inspiration board, as usual!

Yellow flower

I've had flowers on the mind, lately.
I've been making fabric flowers for a customer, and I've been doing a bit of gardening too.
Today was such a nice day, that I spent most of the day with my hands in the dirt. I don't have a big flower garden, just a flower bed in front of my house but every spring I love to dig around and add new things. This year I decided to rid my flower bed of all the periwinkle-hate that stuff! It was so invasive, and unruly... But now I have room for new plants...I planted some gladiolas, lupine, delphiniums, foxglove and blue bonnets. Then I had my husband plant a lilac and a couple of hydrangeas in front of our house. (I've tried hydrangeas several times but they usually die...we'll see how these ones do) I still have a lot of things I we  he needs to do...we've lived in our house for 4.5 years but our landscaping is still and ever-growing project.
Our backyard is completely void of flowers. Of course a couple of kids and a couple of dogs could have something to do with that. ;o)
Anyway, sorry for that long gardening tangent there... Here is my yellow flower card.

This card was totally inspired by the CR84FN color challenge this week. Light blue, light yellow, and kraft-soo pretty and soft!

I made the yellow flower, and used papers from Echo Park and DCWV. I also used some Prima lace, seam binding ribbon, and a little key from The Girls Paperie. The sentiment, as always, is from Papertrey ink.

I'm still working on a card order, so I have lots of other cards to show- I just need to find the time to take some pictures while its still light outside.

Thats all for tonight folks, I've had a good productive day and now i'm tired...Night!

Just for you

As promised, here's one of the cards I made the other day... I made this one for the CR84FN color challenge. This week's colors are brown green and kraft.

I used a bird embellishment from K&Company and stamps by Papertrey Ink. The papers are PTI, Prima, and Melissa Frances. The flower is from a vintage necklace I found a few years ago.
I've really been experimenting with my photos, I think i'm getting closer... what do you think?
Thanks for visiting!

On your special day

So I promised that I would be working on some wedding card. I think this counts as one right? Technically 'special day' could be ANY special day but this one is elegant, and wedding like. So... its a wedding card.

I was inspired by this week's color combo challenge at CR84FN... the pictures they choose are always very inspiring and lovely!

The flower and vintage inspired label are from K&Company's Flora and Fauna line. They're been living here for a little bit, but this time I actually took them out and used them. I love how K&Company has the die cut packs to match their lines, they're my favorite product!
I used a Just Rite sentiment on the label... (I won my first sets of Just Rite stamps at the Shabby Tea Room a few weeks ago- yippee!) I really like the elegant fonts they use for their sentiments.
The seam binding is from a batch that I dyed with shimmer mist.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Tuesday evening.... (Its Glee night!)

Shabby Thanks

My mojo is lacking lately, but eventually ideas come. Its been taking me twice as long to get a card done, and I have a couple that never got finished. It happens to all of us i'm sure. *whine whine*
So I did get this card made for a few fun challenges.

You might notice the colors coincide with the CR84FN color challenge for this week, thats no accident! I love this color challenge blog, its in my top 5 fav challeng blogs. Their color boards are always gorgeous and inspiring.

see? no lie.

I used the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge sketch for the layout.
This one was a fun one.
WMS37 sketch

and the Make it Monday challenge inspired me to try some uber distressed edges. I love the way it looks. I just used my scissors like Lisa did in the video. I kept them closed, that way I wouldn't dull the blade.
See the yellow scallops? I stamped a large button from Button Boutique in a row to make some fun scallops. They're not perfectly straight but that adds to the charm of it, right? I also used a molded flower I made, If you're interested I can add some to my Etsy shop for you to try out, just let me know. :o)

Spring flowers

Hello friends! I've had a busy week, but here I am again.
Yesterday was so beautiful I took the kids on a walk to the park, and today it snowed. Thats Colorado weather for you, gotta love it! I'm having a little spring fever though, and although its snowy outside, and my garden will be dead for another month or so, I'm SO ready for spring!

I finally took out my new February release PTI goodies and got to stamping!
I used the colors from CR84FN as inspiration. Aren't they beautiful together?

I used the tulips from the new Friendship Jars Spring Fillers, and embossed them along with the jar in white. Then I colored them in with Copic markers. I think they almost look watercolored. I had an oopsie while cutting the flowers out...I cut a leaf off! EEk! I tried to fix it but you can still tell a little bit.
I used papers from PTI and The Girls Paperie.

I also entered this card in the Moxie Fab stamping with markers challenge,

Luxurious Birthday

This card speaks to my girlish fantasies of  vintage lace, pink, sparkle, and feminine glamor.
I kind of love it.

I was really inspired by the colors and the color board at CR84FN. Just look at this...If I had an extra house I might decorate it only in this color scheme. So elegant and feminine.

***Please use the 3 named colors as your MAIN colors.*

I used the sketch from Get Sketchy for my layout.

I layered different sizes and types of doilies on top of each other for the layered circles of the sketch.

Valentine

This romantic valentine was inspired by the color challenge at CR84FN.

I used my cricut to cut out that decorative heart, then I glittered it. Its hard to capture clear glitter, can you see it?
